It won't be long before you're off to the Dominican Republic.  I want to make sure you have all of the documentation you need for travel so you can be through customs and immigration as quickly as possible.  Grab your passports and flight information and fill them out online to save yourself time at the airport.

The Dominican Republic requires an E-Ticket for entry.  This MUST be done online prior to travel.  You will need to two separate forms - one for entry and one for departure.  Here is a link to complete the form:

If you have chosen to purchase the VIP experience for arrival you will be met at your plane by an escort and will be taken to a lounge to wait while they handle all of your immigration and customs.  Please take a picture of your luggage before you leave home as they will even retrieve your luggage while you wait.  When they have everything processed they will escort you to your waiting transfer.  

If you have not chosen the VIP experience the process is still very easy.  If you come in to Terminal B you'll exit the plane directly into the air conditioned terminal.  If you come in to Terminal A you will exit the plane via stairs outside and will be directed where to go by airport staff into the terminal.  The terminal you will come in to is determine by the airport and can be changed if needed but here is a link to the most current iformation:

You will collect your luggage from baggage claim and then proceed to customs.  The wait experience can be from breezing right through to standing in line for an hour or more.  It just depends on how many flights are coming in at the same time.  There are two lines for customs - one for visitors and one for locals.  Have your passport in hand and proceed through customs.

Once you've cleared customs you are allowed in the unrestricted area and free to continue on to your destination.  There is a duty free shop where you can buy alcohol/cigarettes.  You are most likely going to an all-inclusive resort so drinks will be included but some people like to grab a bottle of their favorite liquor so they have it in their room. 

Follow the signs to pre-arranged transfers and you will find your transfer driver waiting outside.  Follow the instructions in your documents to find your transfer.  There will be people who try to trick you into riding with them.  Do not fall for this or you will end up paying for your transfers again.
